Equipment Review: Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

Why did I buy the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder for Jiu Jitsu?

I enjoy strength training to supplement my Jiu Jitsu training. I find that strength training helps with opposing your will on an opponent and helps keep your body safer from injury. During the Covid pandemic, I took the opportunity to build out my home gym selling off some of my old equipment to upgrade to pieces as I found deals. As I built out my home gym and continued to strength train when I can between Jiu Jitsu sessions, my lifts and equipment continued to evolve. One part of my gym that expanded was my collection of training barbells.

I started with a standard bell and quickly added a rackable ez curl bar, an axle bar to use in my rack’s landmine attachment, and most recently a REP Fitness safety squat bar. I kept my barbell on my rack and used Tornado U-hooks on a foundation post in my basement to hang my axle and ez curl bars. My new REP Fitness safety squat bar is massive and awesome, but I found that I ran out of space to put it somewhere. My pre-teen kids also like to play and do pull-ups on my power rack so I was always hesitant to leave my 45 lb. barbell in the j cups on the rack. My solution was to purchase the Titan vertical 5 bar holder to store my safety squat bar and barbell in to keep them stowed safely and off the floor.

About the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

The Titan Deluxe 5 bar holder is a heavy-duty 9 gauge steel stand. The stand is capable of holding 5 barbells that have a diameter of 2” or less. The stand has a 12” x 12” footprint and is 9 inches in height. The sleeves where your barbell is inserted have plastic inserts to prevent scratches to your bar. The stand is welded together and includes the TITAN company name cut out of the metal. The stand weighs 12.5 lbs. And is sturdy enough to hold 5 bars including specialty bars like a trap bar.

Shipping of the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

The shipping was great with Titan Fitness. To compare fitness equipment companies like REP and Rouge, Titan usually has lower prices, and shipping is included in their equipment prices. At the time of ordering the holder was $79.99 with shipping included, a price lower than anything else similar that I could find.

I placed my order on 8/21 and quickly received my order via FedEx on 8/25. I was highly surprised by how quickly my order arrived.

Unboxing of the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

Packing was standard for a large heavy barbell stand. The stand was enclosed in a cardboard box that was secured by plastic straps and heavy-duty tape. Within the box, the stand was further protected by a plastic bag and thin foam on the top. The cardboard box looked a little rough, but upon unboxing the stand looked good and was not damaged during shipping.

Fit and Finish of the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

Overall the fit and finish of the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder were great. The stand is steel and powder coated in black. The stand is welded together and has the company name TITAN cut into the side. In many reviews, Titan often takes hits for low-quality welds on their steel. The welds on this stand are on the inside of the stand and hidden when used. I didn’t see anything of concern with the welds upon inspection. The sleeves where the barbells slide into have plastic inserts to protect from scratch damage to your barbells.

Eternal Jiu Jitsu’s Recommendation on the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder

I purchased the Titan Deluxe Vertical 5 Bar Holder to store my regular barbell and safety squat bar off the floor. The Titan bar holder accomplished this well for me. My REP Fitness safety squat bar is massive and weighs 68 lbs. The stand holds both my safety squat bar (in the middle hole) and my regular barbell with ease. The stand is heavy-duty, has a small footprint, and looks nice as a part of my overall basement home gym. The price was right and the shipping was quick. For what it is I’m very happy with the stand. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure your ceilings are high enough to accommodate both the stand and the length of your bars. If you have short ceilings the stand may not work for your space.
